  2. I think most of us have been down that road. I haven’t actually signed up for any ponzi schemes but some programs that didn’t deliver. Maybe it was that I expected too much at the time.

That was a fun post Sapna, thank you.

  3. The infographic does show what it is like for a blogger. I believe it’s important to become realistic when starting a blog or anything for the first time. When we drop expectations and just allow or joy and determination to come through our blog we will eventually find success.

No, I haven’t signed up for any ponzi schemes online but I have been asked to join many.

    Take care.

This is what I have tried to depict and in most cases, the story is more or less the same. Everyone in reality relates success to Money directly or indirectly. You have passion for blogging but people want to know whether your passion is good enough to earn you money or not.

Great you have not joined any of these schemes.

Thanks for stopping by and adding value through your comments.

  4. Hi Sapna,

Ha ha… Now that’s very nice dear :) Felt like a movie going on and asked what’s next at the end. Gotta wait for that ;)

Well, success can be tangible or intangible for people depends on the perspectives ;) Anyway, mostly goes with MONEY or POPULARITY as I see ;) Mostly I see that people living with money problems goes for blogging as a solution, which is true if they do it right. But I see blogging ethics missing in most of ‘em too.

Is this really happened to you, just wondering? :)

Anyway I haven’t taken such schemes or courses though, but know many people go after ‘em and get cheated too :)

Sometimes people just too greedy and suffer a lot ’cause of Money.

    Cheers…

    • Hi Mayura

Thank you so much for that. Oh Yes I tried to be slightly different in this one, might want you to come back and see.

Very true success can be tangible or intangible but don’t we have any pressure from our relatives and friends as we are giving so much time and energy to it?

Glad you have not fallen for the ponzi schemes and other related ones.

Thanks for stopping by and adding value through your comments, again the lenghty one.

      Thanks

      • Of course the obstacles are for everyone Sapna :) Well, everyone who wanna success and do something about it.

I have a blog but no one don’t care about it in my family or offline friends, and that’s perfectly alright dear. It doesn’t matter how much traffic I got, how much friends I found or how much I enjoy it.

To bloggers the blog is something to be proud of but for ones they don’t know the taste, they have no idea and may be criticize it. Don’t we see that everywhere? :) It’s not your fault that they can’t relate to you, and don’t take it as yours. You go with it and ones who love it always will be there.

Do what’s necessary and grateful for every obstacle ’cause they make us our journey more harder and it gives more pleasure at the end ;)

If you stop blogging ’cause you got no traffic first days, you never come this far. I don’t know what you have gone through ’cause it’s your story, but I know you believe in it and never give up :) Go with it, never give up.

        Happy bloggin’ ;)

        Cheers…

I am also facing the same dilemma, blog where family is either unaware of or not all interested.I m feeling the heat as blogging is taking too much time with no monetary gains associated with it.

I don’t know when we will achieve success but till that time it is surely a tough journey.

Thanks for stopping by and taking out time to comment.Always a pleasure.

  6. Hi Sapna,

You are really talented here to be able to put your thoughts and experience in this form of info graphics. I really enjoyed it as I have gone and still going through most of those issues.

I haven’t signed up for ponzi schemes but yes I have fallen prey for some courses which didn’t deliver what it called for. Ah, I think it’s part of the journey.

Thanks a lot for sharing such a great post and I can’t wait for what happened next? I’m itchy! lol.

How did you know what my spouse told me. Exactly, he said “Show me the money”. Then friends and relatives making fun of me for not having anything to show for.

I am guilty of buying those courses. But I don’t think that the problem was there. I was the problem for not being able to implement the instructions. I am fascinated by the subject of goal setting. It is a mysterious matter with many unknowns.

Thanks for that. You are absolutely right, there are these two groups which are prevalent. The First one is working hard, using his left side of the brain to be the best of the best without giving up the ethics.
The second group is also working very hard, using his left side of the brain to be the best of the best compromising all the business ethics and is actually sucking the 1st group.

Thanks for your inspirational comments and please do keep coming back.

  16. :) I enjoyed your infographics Sapna, and they are all so very true:)

Though I’ve never really tried any of such schemes but yes, I can well relate to all that our offline friends and family say to what we do online – where most of them don’t really understand all that we have to undergo. Either ways, i don’t think we would have it any other way – isn’t it?

Nevertheless, I feel for married women, more so who are full time Moms and who are working too (mind you – being online is totally full-time as compared to the offline working hours!) life isn’t easy. I guess unless we time and limit ourselves, and set our priorities in life – things can’t work.

Thanks for sharing this with us. :)

  19. Hey Sapna,

My perspective is that a blog is not an online business and many newbies think that just because they know how to set up a blog, now they will earn money very easily and that’s really far from the truth.

The blog is the marketing hub, while we have to provide the product, service or brand and not the other way around.

The pictures were interesting to see, looking forward to see part two of this infographic! ;-)

  28. The infographic do reflect the lives of a wannabe successful blogger. Being a blogger is easy, its making money out of it that is hard. Only those who do it for fun are OK but those aspiring to be a blogger making money from the net is bound to face huge obstacles. Another masterpiece Sapna. By the way, during the gold rush in the American west, no one hardly made any money expect those selling spades and buckets. Something to think about!
