  1. Hi sapna Ji,

Nice post,I dont know much about these courses as i believe that simple blogging with great content basic seo rules ,up to date on SEO by reading seo & blogging based blogs,Running mind to how to stand out of tht box.I think these things are enough. The thing many blogger do is they try to run ,they search for shortcuts…i think there is no shortcuts ,one should have patience in blogging.Specially initial period they should just work.

Happy X-mas and new year to you and your Family.

    Thank You

Thanks for that, It was learning the hard way. I totally believe that there is no shortcut to success but I feel failure is very important to succeed. You learn through mistakes how people are there to lure you into all those things.

Blogging is all about patience and dedication, all about making mistakes, learning, un-learning, twisting your learning and so on and so forth.

Happy Christmas and New Year to you, to your family, relatives and friends

Thanks for stopping by and adding value through your comments.

  2. Hi Sapna,

lol… lol… lol… :D I really love the images here, appropriate and they just made me laugh out loud. I can’t help it, better choices of yours ;)

I don’t think every course would be like this with broken promises but obviously this is learning the hard way which is always helpful to remember without a push :) Anyway there could be many and many worthless money sucking programs. Always better to go with a recommendation of someone you know and found the result ;)

    Happy Holidays Sapna :)

    Cheers…

  3. My Sapna, you have been busy as a bee with these very creative posts. It’s tempting for new bloggers to buy something to try to get a “shortcut” but as Shorya above says there are not shortcuts. Only hard work and a lot of patience.
Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas Sapna!

  4. Hi Sapna,
Another inspiring infographic, I fully agreed with what Lisa said because there is no “shortcut” in success when it comes to blogging.
I started blogging 2years ago and it took 9months before I could even earning money from the site (that was my first blog) before the site was acquired from me. So what I’m trying to say is this, working hard, smart and patience will lead to being successful blogger once you are offering useful information.
Thanks so much for inspiring us, looking forward to read your next post :)

Thanks for that. I fully agree with everyone out there, that there is no short cut to success but one thing is there, these are very tempting courses available at damn cheap price, there is no way to resist.

Yours is true success story which can be related to working hard , working smart and keeping patience.

Thanks again for stopping by and adding valuable comments.

  8. Ah, seems like we’ve all been there and done that Sapna! Me included more times then I care to admit.

I think for the most part we are enticed into this type of marketing thinking that there has to be a better way right! Then we slowly start learning what they’ve shared with us only to find out it’s either regurgitated information or it’s a bunch of bull.

I’ll also admit that a lot of us have to be ready to actually do the work that needs to be done even if we’ve received the same information over and over again. It’s that fear standing in our way you know. That’s what took me so long.

Great stuff and I’ll look forward to the next part you’ll be sharing. I can only imagine.

    Merry Christmas!

Thanks for your visit and you have been very upfront like me to admit that.

Right they have great marketing skills and they prove that, when we fell prey to their work. When we start reading their work it’s all waste either you know those things or there are certain things you don’t want to do.

I would consider this as a part of Learning curve, it happens and we need to Learn quickly and move on.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts and knowledge via comments, I appreciate that.

  9. Hi Sapna,

It’s good to be at your blog! I really liked your infographic. I definitely agree with what you were illustrating in your post.

I’ve been pretty lucky and most of the products I’ve bought online have helped in some way. Having said this, I’m very cautious when purchasing online courses. I like to make sure that what I’m getting isn’t easily available elsewhere and at least some big aspect of it is unique. Usually if the producer has a lot of credibility then it makes it easier for me to click purchase.

I’m looking forward to reading more of your posts.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :-)

Glad you have never fallen to these tempting Courses but I have not been so lucky and that really prompted me to write this post. Really the credibility factor I missed – as I was new to blogosphere. Now for me it is “Once bitten twice shy”

  10. Hi Sapna,
I always laugh when someone shows pictures of cars, planes, boats, etc as an attempt to lure people into buying the course. If the course is that good those things won’t be needed.

Even though I am an online marketer, I don’t like many of the ways people attempt to market their products.

    Your infographic nailed it. :)

    • Hi Justin

Right, I could now say that what you have said, but at that time it was too tempting to resist.

You are a seasoned blogger, but for others who market online should have integrity and follow certain basic ethics to build the credibility factor as HITEN pointed out in his comment.

They should have long term plans, short term planning won’t help anyone, if they are really thinking of building a brand.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts via comments. Do Keep coming back

  11. Hi Sapna,

I’ve been in this kind of situation a lot of times. I’ve always had trouble with SEO and generating traffic so I always searched for a better way(faster way) to drive traffic to my blog, and my emotions lead me to buy a lot of useless info products, and after reading them I always ended up saying, hey I already knew that.

It’s probably because we’re sometimes looking for push of a button solutions, which in reality do not exist.

I really enjoyed your infographic, looking forward to your next post.

    Happy Holidays, take care.

Welcome to my blog. Glad you could relate that. Your reasons looking for those courses appear to be genuine, only thing is the people who are selling those are not with great intentions, they really don’t want to help you but want to earn quick bucks from you.

I really feel it is more related with we looking to learn quickly with less of hard work and within shorter period.

  13. This infographic depicts the reality of how online products are at the moment. 99% of them are loaded with crap and you wouldn’t need them – it’s like old wine in new bottle, the same thing is said in a different way.

Most people are led to believe that offering ebooks or other online products can boost traffic, while that maybe true, the traffic is not what you should be looking for.

They get into your list just to get the ebook, read it haphazardly and throw it away, while the blogger is in the false belief that his traffic has been growing by leaps and bounds.

The blogger should rather rely on the number of testimonials he/she receives because that is the best proof that your book was fully read and readers got your message successfully.

This infographic has it all, fantastic!

I’ve been caught more than once with dreadful things I’ve purchased online and ended up banging my head against a brick wall.

I still see marketers using the cars and yachts as an enticement even now. I mean, do they think we will fall for that. The pity is, I’m sure some people still do.

Another great inspiring post Sapna. Indeed, it was learning the hard way. I have fallen victim to these schemes more than I can count. But I have learned more from blogs and comments than I have learned from those courses.

Thanks for sharing your experience which is a good reminder that there is no short-cut to success, instead there is lots and lots of hard work involved.

Like many others, I have led to believe courses that could bring magical results. I finally learned that redaing other top bloggers’ blogs is one of the best way to learn. Having said that, there may still be some ‘secret weapons’ such as plug-ins for the blog. Blogger who can guide others to safety by providing valuable contents in their blogs win. Adrienne Smith is one whom I admire the most with regard to this!
