Are you an Optimistic or Pessimistic blogger(Cartoon-graphics)

In my short presence in blogosphere, I could see two category of bloggers, one who are eternal optimistic and the others who are pessimistic. Optimistic bloggers  have very high success rate and pessimistic won’t be able to go through the rigors of the blogging for very long.

    Nice cartoon-graphic!

    I have to admit I have definitely been an optimistic and pessimistic blogger. One can easily become too pessimistic with blogging, especially when approaches being used are not working.

    What I’ve learnt to do is to keep experimenting, not get too attached to the outcome of what I’m doing and try and have fun at the same time. I have faith that something will work in the end.

    I’m definately the optimistic blogger Sapna. But sometimes I wonder, are they times you should give up on something? I tend to never give up and keep on trying new things. I just don’t like to give up ever. I think if you keep trying you will succeed. I’ve read too many stories of those that made it big almost quit just before success came. Those stories keep me going and optimistic.

    I am by no means a passimustic blogger.But,in my opinion,for every beginner the number of followers is an issue.I think one shoud just write and give good content.

    Oh yes…I am always an optimistic person, whether I am blogging or just being a simple person at home. I think it’s the attitude – the positive attitude and outlook towards life that matters more than anything else – isn’t it?

    An optimistic blogger will find ways and means to get things better, while the pessimistic will turn negative and spoil things for himself. Health wise too, just as you showed, the optimistic blogger will relax and take it easy, because when you are at ease, you are able to think better, while when you are stressed and tensed, you only make your working and thinking all the more tough.

    Yes, sometimes things take time, and especially for newbies or other bloggers too – they need to remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day! Even if you don’t start earning from your blog, if that is your aim – doesn’t matter. You are building a readership and you have your wonderful and most important resource of the readers who value your post, which is much more paying than the money – isn’t it?
    If an optimistic blogger remains patient and positive – he will get through to greater heights with time than a pessimistic one – very sure of that. 

      Perfectly said, positive attitude has to be the way of life and I fully support your view point on this.
      Blogging really requires time, energy and best of the skills to keep us going. Truly there is no shortcut to
      success here in blogging, only best of the best will be able to make it.

      At times most of the bloggers may feel down and out and even thoughts of leaving blogosphere crops up but this is where the positive attitude plays its role and optimistic blogger will keep on learning, experimenting and remain consistent with his work and is therefore bound to be successful.

    Whats up Sapna?

    I’m very very optimistic when it comes to blogging and other things in life because thats the engine that drives me.

    When we’re trying to achieve anything, the moment we start being pessimistic, failure will come. As Napoleon said……. The moment you start thinking of what you’ll do if you fail, you’ve already failed.

    I normally focus my mind on the good part of what I’m doing, thats the way i keep my self eternally optimistic.

    If you are blogging for the advertizement income, it will be a long time until your earning enough that it is worth your time. Your motivation has to come from another place altogether. From a love of writing and sharing ideas and from a generosity. Do it for reasons that feel good so that you don’t depend on money to define the worth of blogging- that’s how to stay optimistic!

    Hi Sapna

    I guess I am in that optimistic group as I am still here after 2+ years! Maybe I am in need of one of those tension relieving caps.

    Maybe if I had known the journey was long and hard, it would have been that I did not try. But I am not a quitter as I see things constantly changing and directing me in a new way. Beyond what I had started out to do, so we shall see where all this takes me.

    Let’s see, which one am I Sapna? Aha, optimistic all the way although I have to admit in the beginning I had my doubts too. I think it was just way too confusing for me and it took quite awhile to figure it all out but once I finally did then this just became so much more enjoyable. I would hope that everyone else would hang in there long enough to experience the other side too!

    I think I’m both. From time to time I feel so helpless with my blog, when i see site stats it makes me feel like all my work is pointless. But the other side of the medal is quite optimistic.     Woops… I don’t think I’ve found pessimistic bloggers to hangout with so far ;) I can see some out there, but I can’t say just they are pessimistic enough though.

    I believe everything will follow when you do what you love. YET I haven’t had a paycheck with the help of blogging. I will, when the time is ready ;)

    However actions speak louder than words, eh? So let others gauge where we fit in. I hope I can get into optimistic column though I see it’s HOUSE FULL already ;)

    Sapna – Good one again, shows how each individual reacts to a situation. It pays to be optimistic I think, and sometimes I do have to be frank and tell that I get pi##$d off when I do not see what i expect from my blogs., it may be in revenue or posts or comments or simply an update to the software version.

    I think sometimes, letting off a little steam is OK :-) what do u think???

    First of all the cartoons are too good. Really entertaining and an eye-cooler. :)
    The two main words of your article “Optimist” and “Pessimist” reminds me the story of “GLASS HALF-FILLED or THE GLASS HALF-EMPTY”. :)
    Its really very important to have an optimistic vision when you are in and you want to sustain on the grounds of tough competition. To go with a positive attitude is really very important for any blogger who really looks forward to develop himself/herself as a pro-blogger. Attitude is always one of the key elements of handling the situations which you have mentioned in your above cartoons.
    Really an awesome post. An entertaining as well as a learning article.

    very nice cartoon! I am a very optimistic blogger. I never go down with one failure. These are the part of blogging life. sometimes good earning , good ranking , sometimes all went down. But we should be optimistic enough to get success!

    I’ve been blogging for almost 5 years now, yes in the early days, I had moments of thinking “Is it worth it”, but I kept going for the sheer love of blogging and thanks to the blogging it has helped me forward in so many other avenues of the entertainment world.

    Blogging is part of my life now, I’d never even consider giving it up for a moment, I think that answers the question ;)

    I have to say, I am bit of both optimistic and pessimistic blogger. Lets face its, its not easy slaving madly away on your computer punching your keyboard and scouring the net for your next blog post with little or no returns. Most blogger hope to be noticed from a big one or a company but to be honest, very little of that actually happens.
    Now you decide if I am optimistic and pessimistic. Now I must have another cup of tea and a biscuit.

    I think I’ve become more optimistic as I’ve got older, strange as that may seem, and working online is making me even more so – partly because I can see the value of a having a positive outlook.

    I think pessimism is destructive and damaging in all sorts of ways – much better to have a ‘glass half full’ approach to life.

    Hey Sapna,

    I am the blogger that has either a gecko or beareded dragon sleeping on my shoulder or right next to the keyboard. But, honestly I would have to say I am pessimistic, but want to be an optimistic blogger. I have an angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other. I am in the middle telling them both to be quite. I tend to get overly excited easily, but then there are the days when I just look to always expand my reach and try different tactics. Maybe, should be called the unpredictable blogger?

    I like the cartons. That is different. I have not seen cartoons used to talk about traffic and SEO. Good job. I’m an optimist. That’s why I comment. I believe very successful people visit others’ site and comment.(optimist)

    My view on being optomistic is if it is something in your heart to do, then the passion will be the fuel to keep you going when the going gets tough.
