Everyone knows about the Facebook and Twitter potential, it’s possible reach and what it means to our business. It is quite apparent that Facebook “likes” and Tweets plays a critical role  in judging the social quotient of an individual, am I correct on that? You are better judge on that. Please find below some of the  exaggerated reasons created by me and please forgive ME if you feel these as awkward.

    It shows the lengths that some people will go to get Facebook likes and Tweets.

    Lol…I liked your list of getting Facebook likes and tweets, and this IS the way most people function too!

    Oh yes…I’ve also come across such people who go to the extent of begging for likes on Facebook or will want a reciprocation from you before liking your page – it’s amazing. I wonder why do they do all of this, and for every little matter – just as your wonderful cartoon showed – there should be a reason to like that!

    I guess it should depend entirely on the individual whether or not he or she wants to like an update or not, or if they feel it’s worthy enough to be shared on Twitter or not. Yet, people are sometimes persistent and after you to tweet their posts, which I find rather amazing, especially if they have no meaning or are of no interest to you.

    And hey! I didn’t realize I hadn’t liked your page – so this post reminded me of doing that too. :)

    Thanks for sharing yet another wonderful infographic with us – it surely makes us smile and nod as we read along because you come up with the apt points always. Have a great week ahead :)

      I totally subscribe to your view point and at times it is bit irritating. I’m really not a great fan of FB, my social quotient is very less as compared to everyone around.

    Hi Sapna,

    Once again you’ve made a great post. I have some PC problems… I bought my new PC few days ago and I’m back online… the old one STOPPED working and… I still wonder why… :) )

    So… to get more FB likes I ask few friends to share and like my articles, simple as that… nothing more…

    To increase the number of FB likes I ask my sister to tell her friends to like what she said (my articles) … because she’s beautiful all boys accept to give a like and a share… so easy isn’t :) )

    This is first time I’m commenting in your blog and I l dying to say Wohaa !! what a post :P

    I’m dying here this post really made me laugh so hard and it’s true people doing CHEAP things just to get likes on their FACEBOOK Updates or to get a simple tweet! lolz!

    I’m badly addicted to facebook but never done this lolz in my pages too!

    I agree FACEBOOK is a place where we can write anything because it’s a place where we can share our views freely but this is really cheap “LIKE THIS FOR SAKE OF GOD” “DON’T IGNORE THIS POST WITH A PIC OF GOD” lolz

    I really can’t understand what they get by just likes and shares and people do! #DOUBLE LOL :P

      Well said, people are doing many things to go for LIKES and tweets and I want to restrict myself to the top 10 only. Amazingly true I’m also delving on the issue why people love FB Likes, is it related to psyche and the narcissist mentality or it something else, really couldn’t ponder on that till now.

    I guess it’s really kind of sad Sapna that some people actually do post stuff similar to this just to get likes and shares. Of course I’ve yet to run across any so I guess that’s a good thing. Luckily I guess I’m not friends with many people who are so desperate to get shares or likes.

    I don’t think I really had a favorite to be honest with you but they’re all really cute. Divya is quite the artist.

    Hi Sapna,

    Wow… Divya’s paintings got colored. They are very lovely :) I really like ‘em.

    lol :D That cracks me up. Reminds me of the actual 1 million Facebook likes scenario. I really love that concept if that’s for a good cause but having 1 million likes to have preferred name for a dog, have a kiss from the crush and sort of things are just cracking me up.

    Each time I see such I recall what a 28 years old lecturer said, “Facebook is where children play” :D lol…

    Did you hear that oldest Facebook member (102 years) was faking her age? :) That’s embarrassing when media broadcast that.

    Meantime I remember how a girl who gonna suicide were saved via Twitter :) That was inspiring.

      There are many such instances though I’m not very active on FB but I really check the things and at times really feel aghast after seeing the spam.

    But too be honest with you, i don’t like any of them as i don’t think any of that can possible make me to like a status.

    There are rather many better approaches to ask for likes and those are definitely not one of them. So i think that anyone looking for likes that way will ever get enough of it.

    Lol, Sapna, these are great! You really nailed how silly it seems when people request that you Like their photo or comment. I once saw a comic about a surgeon who said, “I want to operate to save Billy’s life but the surgery didn’t get enough Facebook Likes!”

    I love the one of the grandmother on her death bed and only needs a few more likes to get to 5000. She won’t be able to reciprocate!
    Please help before she passess away…how can you refuse.
    Funny thing is this is so close to the truth…people will go to drastic lenghts to get “Likes”

    It sometimes is so funny with Facebook that people hit Like button for the accident news and and sorrows people share. Facebook has only Like button and most of the time I feel that if there was a button ‘I’ve read it’ button too!

    It’s sad but true, some people are so desperate to get likes and shares and would do anything to get them even if that would degrade their brand.

    To be honest, I loved them all but mostly I love the one about the grandmother on her death bed who wants 5 more likes to reach 5000 likes but she can’t reciprocate but her blessings will be there. This one really cracked me up.

    Sapna – This was a nice compilation of FB statuses. I have seen many such similar ones which are so absurd and foolish, I am not sure why people dont realize it before posting.

    Hi Sapna,

    I think they are all pretty funny. I read something like this on another blog about 5 kids who said their parents will buy them a puppy if they got 1mil. likes and in the first 24 hours they got close 500k likes on their post.

    The picture is what is most important on FB in my opinion. If you have a funny or emotional picture you will definitely get some likes.

    Hilarious One’s Sapna, Liked almost all of them, Few favorite being the Lonely Grandma :) This is an excellent way to present your thoughts, I mean the Cartoongraphics. Excellent Stuff.

    But there is one thing I feel about Social Media, the timing is very important. Posting at the right time gets your better visibility. For example – If you have an Indian audience, then posting at 3am or 4am won’t be a good idea but posting at 11am would be an excellent idea. What do you think?

    Nice post and I really enjoyed this post while reading. Yes, Facebook likes and tweets really helps us on promoting our blog and for me, its become very difficult to choose any single from all of them but finally for me, I would say 1, 3 and 7 are best way. Thanks for sharing this post.
